Linda enjoys working with buyers and sellers equally and serves all with great attention to detail. She is a good communicator and keeps her clients well informed of all the steps in the process. Due to her fluency in several languages (Dutch, German and French) she also serves an international clientele. Many clients come to her by referral.
Before working in Real Estate Linda was an HR professional & Recruiter. She managed a contracting bureau for European aeronautical engineers, at Randstad Staffing Services in Kent and was the liaison between the agency and The Boeing Company. She was the International Recruitment Consultant to Seattle based High-Tech firm InterNap, advising on its European roll out. Other jobs in the US were as a Freight Forwarder (Sprint) for Import & Export, Translator, Language Teacher, Tour guide & Art promotor.
In case you wonder why she came to the US: As a little girl growing up in the Haarlem area of Holland (The Netherlands - NL), Linda had a great sense of adventure and felt the whole world was open to her. Her parents had worked abroad and she just knew she too would end up living in another country. She started international travel at the age of 13 and spent summers leading American exchange students through her country, speaking English. At age 19 she worked in a kibbutz in Israel as a volunteer and became work planner for a crew of 45 young people, originating from 7 countries. The experience in dealing with different nationalities and cultures set the choice for her career in HR and combined her broad interest in employment dynamics with her genuine people skills. She studied for her B.Sc. in HR in The Hague -NL at the Academy for Social Studies while working as a HR professional & Recruiter in Europe. Before coming to the US in 1991, Linda worked 12 years in HR positions in several industries: IT Recruiter in Rotterdam-NL (Alpha Computer Diensten / ING), London-UK (Matrix), The Hague-NL (Crest Hotels), staffing manager (ASB/Medical) and as interim HR coordinator for nursing homes in Rotterdam (Humanitas).
In her spare time Linda is active in neighborhood community groups. She served 15+ years on the board of the (former) Dutch-American Chamber of Commerce and Council of European Chambers of Commerce (CECC). Linda has great interest in the local Jazz scene and supports and promotes musicians. She enjoys living in the magnificent Pacific Northwest, gardening, swimming and cycling.
